If you've known me anytime....lets say...within the last 3ish or 4ish years, you know that this is the time of the year where you can't call me on Tuesday and Wednesday nights!  WHY?!?!?!.....

because of AMERICAN IDOL....that's why!!!

I am Christina...22 years old..KIIS FM STREET TEAMER...and an American Idol ADDICT!!!! :) I'm not ashamed to admit it!  I can already hear the theme song playin' in my head right now as I'm dancing in my chair!

Why do I love AMERICAN IDOL?!?!! Well..first off...TWO WORDS...

RYAN SEACREST!

Can't get enough of him!  I think he's one of the BEST hosts ever....it would definitely not be American Idol without him!  It's only fitting that the best host ever comes from the best radio station ever, 102.7 KIIS FM!

I LOVE TALENT!!  LOVE everything about the competition!!! Who's gonna trip?! Who's gonna fumble the lyrics??  Who's gonna give attitude and snap their fingers at Simon Cowell when he tells them what a "GHASTLY" and "HORRID" rendition of Etta James, ATTTTT LAAAAAASSST!.. they just had!  Who's gonna be the absolute WORST singer in American Idol history!?!

 All these answers will be answered...STARTING TONIGHT!!!!  Tonight is the night where I TRRRRRY to use my keen sense of talent judgement and decide who I think will make it to the finale!!!! Tonight...I'll let you know who will be the next American Idol!!!!!  Ok, ok...so maybe not tonight....but for suuuuuuuuure by like next week, I'll let you know!

Another reason why I love American Idol is because I secretly wish I was on the show performing! haha. Yeah...who doesn't?!?! :)

When I was in high school..(SENIOR YEAR..cough cough!)  my friend Vanessa David and I performed a loooovely little number!  We sang, acted, danced...to a former American Idol - Kelly Clarkson's - A Moment Like This!"  When we entered the competition and tried out, they told us they didn't even know how to categorize what we had going on! haha...Hmm...now that I think of it...that might NOT have been a good thing!

 We dressed up in the most ugly peach ruffly bridesmaid dresses, wore UGG boots, long white gloves....beautiful bouncy curls in our hair...and actually SAAAANG the entire A Moment Like This song!!! 

We won 3rd place! :)  They called us a "COMEDY" act.....Man, I was rreeeeallly trying to sing well! haha.

So, that's why I LOVE AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!

Christina - KIIS STREET TEAMER!!!

Hey guys! It's Christina from your KIIS STREET TEAM! Guess what I watched this weekend?!?! I watched Mariah Carey's DVD - "THE ADVENTURES OF MIMI" tour!! You're jealous I know! haha. Until you see it with your own eyes, you're not gonna believe how absolutely fantastic it was!
Ok, so I'll admit right off the bat...my opinion of Ms. Mariah Carey will always be a little biased because she is in fact my absolute ALL TIME favorite singer. Wow, ever since I was little - always singing Mariah Carey, making up choreographed routines to her songs, and trying to hit those insanely high as the sky notes that could probably shatter glass! Yep, that was me and I KNOW it was you too!
I was so sad that I didn't get the opportunity to watch her live on this tour so you can imagine how ecstatic i was when I found out she was making a dvd of it!
Since I knew I'd loooove her concert dvd without even watching it first, I asked my Dad (he covers his ears everytime she hits the high notes) to sit down and watch it with me! Yeah, took a little persuading but I did it! I told him I wouldn't record his favorite show, Mad Money and a couple football games he was waiting to watch, if he didn't sit and watch Mariah with me! :) haha...It worked. Just me and my Dad...and Mariah!

To begin the show...we SHAKED IT OFF with Mariah Carey! Gosh, the costume changes!! She actually starts off in a very similar "ENSEMBLE" that Ms. Britney Spears donned at this years VMA'S! You know, the black shorts with the little black top! Yep and she looks awesome! Her nickname "MIMI" dazzled in sparkling glittering hollywood-esque lights across the stage! She danced between the M...the I...the M...and the I again! (Didn't that just sound like I was rapping?!?! :) The M, the I, the M, the I..it's MIMIIIII! :)

Slowed it down to the classic VISION OF LOVE! The hit that started the whole Mariah Carey craze so long ago! Looking like a golden goddess in an ever-flowing yellow gown! Still sounding as beautiful and HOT at is first did! With all she's gone through in her life since that first hit....sounds like the song means so much more to her...so much more soul! What a crowd faaavorite!

Mariah Carey dimmed the house lights and sang DON'T FORGET ABOUT US in a more casual outfit...so casual yet so intimate and really connecting with the thousands of fans in the audience! I can imagine how close the audience felt to Mariah during this moment! Mariah described this as one of the most important points in the show!

Special guest appearance from BOYZ II MEN! Singing the hit, ONE SWEET DAY of course! I've heard this song countless number of times but every single time I hear it...I can't help but think about all the special people in my own life that I've lost.....and you can tell that almost every single person in the whole audience felt the same way. This one song created by these talented artists years ago still has this transcending ability to take each person back to that exact moment in time when this song pleasantly fed our ears and hearts.

Did you know Mariah Carey loves performing WE BELONG TOGETHER!?? That's what came next in the lineup of songs. She calls it a life changing moment....a get the chills kinda moment! She can't believe the response it gets from the fans! She performed this song as her encore in a gown fit for a queen.

I wish this concert could have went on forever and ever! I could sit and watch Mariah Carey perform every single song in her catalog including MARIAH CAREY CHRISTMAS!!! :)

At the end of this dvd, I turned to my dad and asked him what he thought of Mariah nooooow...now that he's seen her perform and explain the meaning behind specific songs and performances. He explained to me that there is definitely no denying that she can sing..."BUT WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO CHANGE CLOTHES SO MUCH!?!" Haha!

She's pretty much the best singer in the entire world! :)
She's proved time and time and time again that she is the REAL DEAL and definitely a KIIS FM FAVORITE ARTIST!
