So, I get my AA/CSU transfer units done. Finally. From Fall 2005 to Spring 2008, 3 full school years both part-time & full-time in classes each semester, including a summer and a spring intersession. whewwww! Bu****ransfer to CSU Fullerton this Fall, back to the school I originally started attending. Things didn't work out too great at the start, but I will make it up by eventually earning my B.S. in Kinesiology & hopefully a Minor emphasis in Spanish. Yes, Spanish. I want to become bilingual, and using both educational degrees toward my Master's & maybe Doctorate program for Physical Therapy. But, it's Summertime! Yay! :)
Monday I was waiting to see if I was picked to go meet Gwen Stefani, and only 6 people could go from my work, but then it dropped to only 4 that day. Tuesday I found out I was picked to go, and I was excited to the fullest. It started a string of fun times throughout the week and on Friday, June 22, I met Gwen Stefani!!! It was awesome! Too bad her people brought her out a little late, so I didn't have time to talk to her...or take individual pictures either :( . I had a blast because after meeting and taking group pictures with her, I had my Sweet Escape CD manual and CD signed, and I also received tickets on the lawn of the amphitheatre. It was great. Except that I volunteered to explore and go on a food run for my coworkers, and I ended up having to take four sets of food up the entire hill. Luckily I yelled, "Can I get a hand?!?" and a few ladies carrying their own beers felt sorry for me and helped me out. I told them I met Gwen Stefani and they almost dropped my food. But I made it safely back to the lawn to enjoy the concert. I missed most of Lady Sovereign's opening, but it didn't matter. Just like Akon's song. I saw him just before seeing Gwen, but I didn't take any pictures because I knew he needed his alone time/privacy because he was talking to someone on the phone I guess. The night went great but I missed the encore/ending...with No Doubt's reunion!!! Aww well...otherwise the night was perfect! Performances, the evening, the lights, my friends/co-workers, and all the drunk people I'd ever seen. Even a line of women entering the men's restroom. That was classic. :)
