    Dodgers vs. Rockies

Hello all Baseball lovers and Dodger Fans
So the weekend wasn't a bad weekend for our boys in blue. On Friday "Eric Stults retired the final 13 batters he faced, completing seven strong innings of two-run ball. The rookie struck out nine and allowed just two hits to the powerful Rockies offense. The bulk of support for Stults came in a five-run second inning, which started with Jeff Kent's 16th home run."  Dodgers won it 6-4

Saturday wasn't so great, The boys managed to tie it up and go into extra innings. 14 to be exact. I was at this game and let me tell you by the 12 inning I was getting really tired. Dbacks got a couple runs in and that was that. Final score 7-4 Rockies

So after a long night most likely not loved by the Dodgers they put their efforts in and won the game 4-3. A win that we really need, a nice way to get out of our slump. My favorite play of the day had to be when Martinez hit a ball to center field and brought in two runs in the 8th inning to give the guys the lead.

Andre and Russell both came in, and can I just say the engery that Russell came in with was so awesome. I love seeing players with so much passion that it shows in their game. Check out the video to see the play Click Here
Coming up tomorrow Dodgers take on the Phillies (Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday)
On Tuesday Pitching will be Tomko and Kendrick

Make sure to watch and support our boys while we try and fight our way back to the top! Playoffs are coming up, we need all the wins we can get!

    Dodgers vs. Giants

I know it's been so long but life got a little crazy there and then the All-Star game where I found a new great player...Alex Rios. We may discuss him at a later time! But for all my ladies out there check him out, he plays for the Blue Jays I believe. Anyways so last night I was at the Dodger game, and let me tell you what a Dodger game it was.

After Rafael Furcal and Juan Pierre continued their hot nights by kicking off the eighth inning with bunt singles, Luis Gonzalez hit a two-run single and Nomar Garciaparra followed by slugging a two-run homer to give the Dodgers their first home victory of the season over the Giants. What a great feeling it was. Everyone was in Super Dodger fan mood since Barry was there. Awesome shirt of the night (Real Men pitch to Barry) I don't like the guy but I still can appreciate a great shirt.

So tonight is Russell Martin Bobble head night and I will be adding him to my collection. Let's see if the Dodgers can pull out another victory and hopefully Barry won't get a homerun. If anyone is also interested James Loney will be at the Staples in Burbank, at the Empire Center signing autographs. I think he is gonna be there from 1-2 but check out the Dodger website first. Sadly I can't go, I guess him and I will met later. He's oh so dreamy lol!!!

    Go Blue!!!

    Weekend Recap

Here's a quick recap of the weekend games. Of course for more details Dodgers Website is a great place for info. On Friday scuffling at the plate and trailing by three, the Dodgers caught fire in the fifth inning to take a two-run lead. The offense did no further damage, and the bullpen couldn't hold the advantage. Takashi Saito blew the save in the ninth, and Brett Tomko gave up the winning run in the 10th.In the 10th with two outs and pinch-runner Eric Reed on third, Hanley Ramirez placed a perfect bunt down the third-base line, scoring Reed to give the Marlins the go ahead run. Final score 6-5 Marlins.

On Saturday the Dodgers needed Derek Lowe to give their bullpen a rest, and he worked into the seventh inning despite not having his best stuff. James Loney, however, was at the top of his game, with a four-hit night and an RBI.Well, it was the simple fact that we had 12 singles out there and they had a few balls that left the park," Little said. "What it was kind of like is when you used to watch those old Westerns and the guy would take a knife to a gun fight. That's pretty much how it turned out." Lowe gave up two home runs and the offense managed just two runs despite getting 12 hits as the Marlins cruised to a 7-2 victory at Dodger Stadium.

And then there was Sunday, The Dodgers batted around in the first inning, with Russell Martin's two-run homer the big blow. L.A. added five runs in the second, capped by Andre Ethier's three-run shot. Ethier replaced Matt Kemp, who left with a hamstring strain. Mark Hendrickson allowed two runs in five frames to earn the win.The win puts the Dodgers nine games over .500, one game behind the National League West-leading Padres when the second half resumes on Friday. After the game, outfielder Luis Gonzalez, who had two hits and run scored, said he felt good about where the team stands heading into the second half.

Time for the All-Star break and even though I wont be watching the game live I will be recording it on my best friend Tivo. But I wouldnt miss watching a few of my boys for anything.

    All-Star Game...who's going?

Monday, July 2, 2007, 06:17 AM PST [General]

Alright Folks its finally come, after all the voting, and all the push from the Dodgers....yes you've guessed it, Russell Martin is going to the 78th Annual All-Star game?in San Fransico on July 10th as starting catcher. Russell had 300,000 votes more than former Dodger Paul Lo Duca. He's also the?first Canadian All-Star catcher, entered Sunday's play batting a team-high .297 with nine home runs and a team-high 53 RBIs. He has 15 stolen bases, breaking a 45-year-old Dodgers record for a catcher, previously held by John Roseboro. He leads league catchers in hits, runs scored, RBIs, steals, walks, and slugging and on-base percentage, and leads the league in game-winning RBIs.
"I'll be like a kid in a candy store," said Martin. "I don't think I'll realize how cool it will be until I get there. I thank the fans who voted for me. I play hard, and they gave me recognition by voting for me. It's something I dreamed about as a kid." And I will be like a girl with a bad school crush watching this game, cause not only will Russell be there but so will David Wright from the Mets, and even though I dislike the Mets I do think this guy deserves some attention. Also give a shout out to my other boys in blue who made it to the All-Star team, Brad Penny and Takashi Saito. I can't way the whole thing is gonna be a lot of fun.
