Miley Cyrus has been named the host of the Teen Choice 2008 Awards which will air on Fox August 4th.
While Billboard official numbers will be issued Wednesday morning - Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" becomes the first album since 50 Cent's "The Massacre" in 2005 to sell more than 1 million copies in a single week. No album in 2006 sold as many as 800,000 copies, Kanye West's "Graduation" sold 957,000 copies in 2007.
According to probate court records, Britney Spears' father plans to sell her Studio City home in the latest liquidation of her assets. The 7400 square-foot house which has 5 bedrooms, 6 1/2 bathrooms and is located in a gated community, was a scene of intense drama when Spears was taken from the home in an ambulance to a psychiatric hospital. In March, a court granted Jamie Spears the power to "sell or dispose of" an undisclosed number of her seven cars (Spears has reportedly been looking at a home in Calabasas).
Oscar-nominee Terrence Howard will release his debut album "Terrence Howard - Me and the Band of Kings" on September 2nd - the album is a mix of soft pop-rock and jazzy tunes.
Michelle Branch is putting the final touches on her 3rd solo album "Everything Comes and Goes" - she is planning to stay on the country path that she began with the Wreckers. She says she hopes to have the album out before the end of the year.
