Although there's been no confirmation from Def Jam, Kanye West's new album will be titled "808's & Heartbreak" and will be released Dec. 16, according to listings on Amazon.com and Target.com.

Johnny Depp will lend his voice to the lead character who goes on an adventure of self-discovery in the animated film "Rango", which is slated to begin production in January for a March 2011 release.

A LA judge determined Wednesday that Nicole Richie has been taking care of herself and is otherwise "in compliance" with the terms of her probation stemming from her 2006 DUI bust.  She was placed on 3 years probation in July 2007.

The charity song "Just Stand Up" will hit radio and iTunes on September 2nd. The song features Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus.  All sales of the star-studded single will benefit cancer research.  All 15 singers will share the stage to perform the song live on Sept. 5 during the "Stand Up to Cancer" television special, set to air simultaneously on ABC, NBC and CBS.

Tom Cruise has teamed up with Spider-Man director Sam Raimi to develop DC Comics' Sleeper at Warner Bros., with Cruise attached to star in the fim.  Sleeper centers on covert operative who becomes fused with an alien artifact that not only makes him become impervious to pain, but allows him to pass the ability on to others.  Somewhat complicating matters: He falls for evil henchwoman Miss Misery while on assignment.

Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham is reportedly gearing up to sue the U.K. magazine Now over an article that claimed she was "hooked on sex and diet pills" which has since mysteriously vanished from the rag's website.  The story also claimed that Victoria's sister, Louise, has been acquiring the pills for her in Britain and then shipping them to the U.S.

The cast and crew from the CW's updated 90210 shot scenes Tuesday at Los Angeles' Kokomo Cafe on Beverly Boulevard. This is the second time that the real-life eatery has been transformed into the Peach Pit.

Hilary Duff's "people" aren't confirming or denying that she is engaged to her boyfriend of one year, hockey player Mike Comrie.  Duff was spotted wearing a diamond ring when they two hit Il Sole restaurant for dinner Friday night.

Madonna celebrated her 50th birthday Saturday at the trendy London club Volstead with about 90 of her closest friends.

Christina Applegate says she has a clean bill of health after undergoing treatment for breast cancer.  According to an interview on "Good Morning America" airing Tuesday, shesays she is "Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I'm definitely not going to die from breast cancer."

Jessica Alba will appear in Declare Yourself's new "Only You Can Silence Yourself" PSA campaign, in which celebs and real people are shown crying and with their mouths forced shut.   Alba was photographed on Friday in Los Angeles by celebrity lenser Mark Liddell. It is still being decided how her mouth will be manipulated shut for the campaign.  The ads will appear in magazines in the fall.
