Chris Brown has been tapped to guest star as himself on the Aug. 9 episode of the Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. The story finds the title characters grounded and forbidden to leave their suite only to sneak out of the hotel.
Christian Bale was arrested Tuesday over allegations of assaulting his mother and sister. He spent four hours at a London police station before being released on bail. According to British media, Bale's mother and sister complained he had assaulted them at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Sunday night, a day before the European premiere of "The Dark Knight." The police later said in a statement that Bale had been released on bail pending further inquiries and told to return in September. It did not specify the date. Bale has denied the allegations.
Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and Rihanna will perform at the fifth annual Fashion Rocks concert Sept. 5 at Radio City Music Hall, and will air in a two-hour special on CBS the following night. Proceeds will benefit Stand Up to Cancer, a program established by the Entertainment Industry Foundation to raise money for cancer research. Also performing: Keith Urban, Chris Brown, Kid Rock, Fergie, Lil Wayne and the Black Eyed Peas.
Plain White T's have set a Sept. 23rd release date for their next cd, "Big Bad World." The 10-song album was recorded in Malibu and Chicago. The band also will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the recording process with an online series called "Meet Me in California." The series will run from July 30 through October in 12 five-minute webisodes on abcfamily.com. Singer Tom Higgenson also will appear on a Sept. 26 episode of "Sesame Street," where he'll sing a song about the letter "T" to the tune of the band's hit "Hey There Delilah."
Natalie Portman will appear as a judge on this week's episode of Bravo's Project Runway. She is critiquing eco-friendly designs from the remaining 15 aspiring designers.
The Jonas Brothers will perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards which will air live from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on Sept. 7th.
Tough Audience...Jessica Simpson was greeted with a mixture of boos and cheers as she gave her first live country performance at Wisconsin's music festival Country Thunder. In addition to some songs from her country debut, Do You Know, due in September, she played covers of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made for Walking," Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again" and Shania Twain's "Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?", but she also decided to perform one of her old pop hits, "With You." She told the audience that she doesn't plan to ever record another pop album.
Jay Leno's last "The Tonight Show" will be Friday, May 29th, and Conan O'Brien will start the following Monday, June 1st.
A federal appeals court on Monday threw out a $550,000 indecency fine against CBS Corp. for the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show that ended with Janet Jackson's breast-baring "wardrobe malfunction." The court found that the FCC deviated from its nearly 30-year practice of fining indecent broadcast programming only when it was so "pervasive as to amount to 'shock treatment' for the audience."
Blake Fielder-Civil, Amy Winehouse's husband, was sentenced to 27 months in jail Monday for attacking a pub landlord then trying to persuade the man not to give evidence against him. Fielder-Civil has already served some nine months on remand.

Congrats to Joe Jonas...the high school grad! Joe, who took correspondence courses while touring, sent in his last high school assignment on Thursday. The Jonas Brothers have confirmed they will perform at their first MTV Video Music Awards in September.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have reportedly reached a custody settlement - Federline will have sole legal and physical custody whlle Britney will get increased visitation and additional overnights. She will also reportedly pay Federline $20,000 a month in child support. Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, also demanded and received $250,000 for his work on the case. Britney is expected to ask for 50/50 custody once the conservatorship is ended, possibly by the end of the year.
Gym Class Heroes will release their next cd "The Quilt" on September 9th with lead single "Cookie Jar." The single "Peace Sign / Index Now," featuring Busta Rhymes is a promotional track whose video was released Friday online.
Randy Jackson has 20announced plans for the inaugural America's Best Dance Crew Live, a 20-date tour to showcase the best the hit MTV show, now in its second season.
Avril Lavigne's Abbey Dawn juniors sportswear line is now available in Kohl's stores. The line features rock ‘n' roll printed T-shirts, plaid shorts with pocket chains, suspender tees, tiered mini skirts and even hoodies...and nothing in the line is over $40 this season.

OK! magazine has landed Jessica Alba and her daughter Honor Marie Warren on its next cover. The magazine reportedly paid $1.5 million for the first shots of the baby.
Britney Spears is "spending her summer in the recording studio" to work on her next album, according to a statement from Jive Records and her manager, Larry Rudolph. No release date has been confirmed yet.
Wilmer Valderrama has signed a deal with MTV to produce Baby Dolls, a new scripted comedy that Valderrama likens to The Office saying "Basically, it's the life of Young Hollywood told through the eyes of a celebrity female assistant." Valderrama is also making a return in front of the cameras with The Emancipation of Ernesto. He stars in the hourlong Fox comedy pilot as a young man who spent his early years growing up in a Mexican prison with his jailbird mom and is now on a quest to find his father in Los Angeles.
Katie Holmes will guest star on an episode of ABC's "Eli Stone" starring Jonny Lee Miller this fall. The episode, in which she displays her singing and dancing skills, will air Oct. 21. No word on what character she will play or what the episode is about.

Joe Jonas is denying rumors that he's dating Camp Rock costar Demi Lovato, saying that the gossip is "not true" and that the misinformation surfaced "if anything, probably just because I'm her costar."
Menudo band member Carlos Olivero was escorted by security off a Delta flight in Atlanta after refusing to put away his iPod. Olivero, his mother, and his bandmates were on flight 4483 on July 4th as it prepared to leave for Knoxville, Tenn., when Olivero was told to leave the plane. A Delta airlines security team was summoned and escorted him and his mother off the plane. His bandmates, the Menudo tech crew and management also left the plane.
At a status hearing Tuesday, a Los Angeles judge determined that Lindsay Lohan had "proper attendance" and "no missed dates" regarding the various obligations she has been required to attend as part of her probation from 2007's twin-DUI debacle.
According to perezhilton.com, Lauren Conrad's clothing line has just been dropped from all the Los Angeles Kitson boutiques. Kitson owner Fraser Ross says, "Sales were lackluster. Initially it was great." Kitson also confirmed it's dropped Victoria Beckham's dVb menswear line because of poor demand.
