Dear Jojo, Hi my name is Patty and I am 19 yrs old and attend UCSB. As an older sister, one of my biggest responsibilities is to set a good example for my siblings. I have a brother who is 17 and a sister who is 12yrs old. My sister..wow she is a trooper. She was diagnosed with Down's Syndrome when my mom was going into labor. My mom prayed and prayed for my sister to be born healthy and "normal". Funny how I was born premature and my sister was supposed to have Down's Syndrome. My sister was a beautiful baby and she seems perfectly healthy. I have always been smart in school. I got straight A's and was president of many clubs, but my sister on the other hand had trouble in school from the beginning. Since kinder she would just not get it and had difficulty either it be with learning the alphabet or learning to read. She had speech problems and had to attend speech class in a program called RSP ( Resource Specialist Program) it is a form of special education available to students with mild to moderate learning disabilities. From first to fourth grade she was part of this program and was constantly made fun of and called a "retard" or "dumb. She was in danger of being held back several times, but worked harder in order to go on to the next grade. On top of that she volunteers with her teachers in kindergarten class, she loves little kids. Now she is in sixth grade and next week she will be graduating from sixth grade and begin a new chapter...middle school. This is a huge accomplishment and I am soooo proud of her. Jojo I want my sister to go to the Jonas Brothers Concert, she loves them with a passion. She truly deserves to go.. look how far she has come. I love her so much and it would mean so much if i won the tickets to take her. I am sure that whoever you choose will love to go, but my sister cristina (thats her name by the way) would become the happiest girl in the world. ps: it seems like an essay sorry :)
