    REMIX!!! - N.E.R.D Video

Thursday, July 31, 2008, 12:07 PM PST [General]

N.E.R.D. Bring Out Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Pusha T For 'Everyone Nose' Remix, Video

As the Neptunes, N.E.R.D.'s Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo have worked with some of the biggest names in the music biz - and they brought in some big guns for the remix and Hype Williams-directed video of "Everyone Nose": Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and Pusha T of Clipse

"I think Pusha put the meltdown on it," Pharrell set on the set of the video when asked which rapper has the best verse on the track. "But, I mean, I like everybody's verse because I think that Lupe killed it, Kanye killed it. Mine was more about style than how dope the rhyme was. It was really my melody that I liked more than anything - that's why my vocal approach was a little different from what you would hear me do. I wanted to just do something different that would look different on me."

    SOULJA BOY'S NEXT LP!!!

Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 11:56 AM PST [General]

Soulja Boy Tell'em Promises 'Straight Takeover' With Next LP

Internet-boosted rapper hints that first single from iSoulja Boy won't debut on radio.

Soulja Boy Tell'em is new, fresh, current and - God bless him - young. So young that back in 2002, when 50 Cent debuted "In Da Club," Soulja wasn't spending the equivalent of a mortgage payment on Cristal (rappers don't mess with it now, but back in the day that Cris was literally poppin') while dancing to Fif's hit at some nightclub. Nor was he in the studio trying to make a hit big enough to compete with the G-Unit general.

    DIDDY! - GETTING MARRIED?

Monday, July 28, 2008, 12:34 PM PST [General]

    Cassie and P Diddy

    Diddy Responds To Wedding Rumors

About that on-again, off-again romance between Cassie, 21, and Diddy, 38, the hip-hop mogul responded to Star's story of the couple planning to get hitched.

We warned you as it sounded too good to be true. Diddy's camp denies any such plans.

"Contrary to tabloid reports, there is no engagement. This was a complete fabrication," Diddy's rep told People.

So we're back to Cassie's quotes at DJ Cassidy's birthday party in Manhattan on July 9. She told People, "We are not together, but we are definitely friends."

And she said, "We work hard together, so it makes a good combo."

And they make for good stories too.

Pink's New LP Due In October

Wednesday, July 23, 2008, 12:24 PM PST [General]

Pink's New LP Due In October, Video For 'So What' To Premiere On 'FNMTV' Next Month

Pink's seen a lot - she's had hits, misses, love and loss - and now she's saying, "So What"?

The singer, who separated from her husband Carey Hart earlier this year, has been hard at work recording a new album, which she's planning to release October 28, her record label announced Wednesday (July 23). There's no title yet for that album, Pink's fifth, but the first single and video are called "So What."

"So What" isn't just Pink's return to radio - it also marks her return to working with Max Martin, who produced the song (which Pink co-wrote). Martin teamed with the singer on her 2006 LP, I'm Not Dead, on the songs " 'Cuz I Can," "Who Knew" and "U + Ur Hand," the last two of which were hit singles.

Pink's also been writing and recording with much of her I'm Not Dead team, including Billy Mann (who co-wrote eight songs, including "Stupid Girls" on that album), Butch Walker (who co-wrote two songs) and EG White (who most recently worked with Duffy), among others.
