Hello Marlene. How are you doing. I am doing just fine. Lakers won yesterday so I am a very happy dude. Did you do some heavy baking over the weekend. mmmm, Fresh oatmeal cookies. yum, yum. My son called yesterday. He got that package I sent him. I'm sure he is enjoying all that junk food I sent. He put in his next order already. LOL. I said anything you want. He is moving again to a less intense part of afghanistan now. He said where he is right now, they get bombed everday. Two marines were killed by a road side bomb. He was almost in a gun battle with them but said that the marines can't shoot first. Thay have to wait for them to make the first move. Than the marines can fire back in self defense. Strange to me. He got a chance to talk to his sisters to. Great timing they were both sitting in the frontroom with me when he called. Well, their is my update on him. As usual, keep him in your prayers. Good morning Marlene. How was your weekend. Cook anything special over the weekend. I just cleaned out the garege and will clean the kitchen today. My son called on friday. He is doing fine. He said he will be moving to another platoon on sunday, (yesterday). A more intense part of afghanistan. He sounded good. I asked him if thier is any wierd insects over thier. He said they have these very huge spiders. (I knew this). He said him and his budies get two, paint a red stripe on one and a black stripe on the other, put them together and make them fight. They each bet on them. He was laughing when he told me this. I was very happy to hear his voice. I will keep you informed as I hear it. I am so proud to brag about this one. I did it. I indivitually got first place against other officers of the same rank. Unfortunately thou, my team placed second. So now we have to wait till next year to do it again. But they know we are the major threat from now on. Well, I better go now. Work to do. Good morning. Sorry you didn't win. I was routing for you. Next time. I bet your baking is ausome to. I have a competition tomorrow. I am competing as an individual and as a team. Me being an officer with the norwalk elks lodge, I will compete against other lodges in our district. If our team wins tomorrow, we will then compete with all lodge champs withing california. If we were to win that, we will compete with all state champions for national champions of the united states. Their is near 300 lodges throughtout the U.S. competing. Wish me and out team luck. Ya, you can tall when someone enjoys cooking by the taste of their food. You can put two people together and have them make the exact same meal with the exact same ingrediants. you can actually tell who loves cooking and who dosn't. Funny ha. I take real pride in my cooking. I love to hear the words, "THAT WAS DELICIOUS" it makes it all worth it. So, how did the compitition go. I hope you won. Wow. thats great. I love cooking to. I use to feed my kids friends next door all the time. lol. Their parents use to get kind of mad because thier kids got full and didn't want dinner when the got home. Well, I hope your dance lesson goes well. I'm sure your boyfriend will enjoy it.
