Luis & I shared an instant connection from the day we met. We knew that there was something special that would connect us for the rest of our lives. Our bond was so intense that we couldn’t wait to join our lives. We were married during a spontaneous weekend trip to Vegas. Luis proved his undying devotion with his love, support, and understanding as my health declined. As our financial hardships continue due to medical expenses and my failing health we recognize that our union is, and will always be more than just love… it’s a miracle!!! Now, as we begin to share our lives we would like to be married in a ceremony where our friends and family can attend. Because of our situation, winning this contest would be the answer to our prayers.

I love being pampered by Luis!!!
I was super scared because I was not sure what to expect, but having Luis by my side made it much easier. Although, he was not able to stay with me in the room while I was being dialyzed, I knew he was going to be checking on me often and that made me feel much better.
Three hours later I came out exhausted and very weak. As soon as Luis saw me coming out from dialysis, he came running towards me and wrapped my arm around him so he could help me walk.
We then went home and when we got there, he looked over all the papers that the dietician had given me and cooked me a very healthy meal. After the delicious meal, he gave me a back massage that I much needed and he just rubbed my head until I felt asleep.
One thing I truly miss right now from Luis are his tight hugs. Due to the surgery i just had I'm very fragile and he can hurt me if he hugs me to tight. These are the times when I need a big hug from my babe.

I believe Luis is my Match Made in Heaven.
Why? Because he is my angel, he is my hero, he is my everything.
How often do you find someone that loves you to death, that is compatible with you, and that is able to give you the most beautiful gift... "LIFE."
Because of Luis, i will have the opportunity to continue to share my life with him and my friends and family.
Thank you so much babe. I can't find enough words to thank you for everything you've done for me and continue to do. You are truly a very special Man and I'm very blessed that God sent you to me.
Hanging out with KIIS!!!
On Saturday Luis and I, as well as some of our friends, went to the Santa Monica Pier to hang out with Dave and the KIIS Crew. We had a wonderful time!!!
The two of us, along with a few of our supporters, all wore white shirts with beaded red and silver necklaces and had several banners. Our friends are super supportive of us and know that we truly are " The Perfect Couple", so they were there to support us.
It is such a blessing to have friends like the ones we have, who are there for us in good and in bad times.
Dave Styles was great!! We also got the opportunity to go on air!!! It was fun but at the same time kinda sad because I got a little emotional when i started talking about why we are the perfect couple.
Thanks to all of you who support us and continue to do. Even if we don't win we are so happy to be were part of this contest because we got so many positive comments and prayers that have really helped us. Thanks VIP Network!!!
Starting dialysis today :-(
Hello Everyone,
Just waned to let you know that today Edith will begin her first dialysis. She will be going 3 times a week for 3 hours. I'm very sad to see her like that but she is so strong that i know together we will overcome this. I Love her so much and i only want the best for her.
We've been through so much with Edith's health and I know there is still much more to come but her health situation has only strengthENED our love for each other and we have created a special bond that not many couples out have.
I wish KIIS would give us the opportunity to show them that we truly are "The Perfect Couple."Well it's getting late and i have to get ready to go to work, i will keep you updated and I hope the judges choose us as one of the finalists.
Getting Prepared for Dialysis
Yesterday was Edith's first step toward starting the dialysis process. She had minor surgery to get the catheter implanted. Her first post-op appointment will be on Thursday. At that appointment, we will find out how many times a week she will need to get dialysis.
There are a lot of emotions between the two of us right now. We are happy that we are actually able to do something to fight back against Edith's failing kidneys but at the same time we are sad at the thought of the side effects of dialysis, like her getting really tired. We are exhausted physically and emotionally and Edith is sore and tired. Days like yesterday and today are really hard on us but it's days like this that we really appreciate having each other around. I am so proud that she is staying strong and I can't wait for the day that I will be able to give her one of my kidneys.
I just wanted to give you all a brief update on what's going on with us. Thank you all very much for all the prayers, words of support and well wishes. It really means a lot to us.

My mother was on it for several years, but with God's help she is out with a new kidney and ready to take life by the horns.
