Athlete of the Week

This weeks A.O.T.W is dedicated to a good friend of mine Slim. He's also on the street team and is a HUGE Bengals fan, his license plate even says "Who Dey" If your a Bengals fan you know what that means. Last year when I went to Green Bay to watch a football game I found that out in the airport. Basically its a song they sing..."Who Dey think are gonna beat them Bengals" so much fun to sing it when your watching the games! Anyways so moving on the Athlete I enjoy is QB and number 9; Carson Palmer.
He attended the University of Southern California, where he won the Heisman Trophy Award in 2002 in his senior season. He was drafted by the Bengals with the first overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft and signed a 9-year, $118.75 million contract extension on December 29, 2005. Bengals are 1-1 and Im hoping they'll get a better record cause I do love that orange and black, Carson's been doing pretty well, he has 8 touchdowns so far for the season and I'm sure he will have many more. Alright everyone together now...."WHO DEY"
Till next week

This week's featured athlete is someone who I've been saving to share with you all; I've just been waiting for that perfect moment...and I guess now this is the time lol! I'd like to introduce you to James Loney, first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers!
The begining of the season wasn't looking too good for James, he was sent back down to play for Dodgers farm team in Las Vegas, he wasn't happy but decided the best thing to do was fight his way back, and fight he did. He worked hard and got the call to come back in June and worked hard to get in every lineup which ended up in the move of Garciaparra to third base and Loney the Dodgers starting firstbaseman. He's batting .326 with 55 runs batted in and 12 homeruns. He's also born in the best month ever, but thats niether here nor there!

I love watching this guy play, he's got a great energy and so much focus. I saw the game where he ran into the outfield wall and he was such a tropper, I felt really bad for him too cause I heard that from across the stadium...but he toughed it out and now is doing an amazing job. So congrats to this Texas boy for winning my very special award...and if James if you ever need a cool SoCal girl to show you around Los Angeles, just give me a ring! ;)

Hey everyone
To be picked by me; for the Athlete of the week you dont have to be the best athlete...you just have to catch my eye! This week I spent my Monday night at Fox's Sports Grill in Irvine and watched the Ravens vs Bengals football game. And even though the Bengals won, the Ravens still put up a good fight, and their quarterback...caught my eye! So this week I'd like to introduce you to Kyle Boller. He's been with the Ravens for five years and has an arm like a rifle! He also use to play for Berkley and was born in Burbank...HOLLAR!!!
Till Next Week!!!
