Every summer for the past 16 years I've gone to Summer Camp (Camp Whittle) Something not a lot of people do anymore but it means the world to me. I've found some of my best friends at this camp, it is my second family. I've been a camp counselor for 5 years now, its the one thing I look forward to every summer. This past summer was another amazing year, filled with so many memories and and crazy experiences, if I went into any of them we would be here until next summer.

   Just last weekend there was a huge fire in Big Bear called The Butler Fire. There are usually fires during the summer being that its a forrest and sometimes SoCal can get very dry, but this fire actually started to get too close to my camp...Camp Whittle is located in Fawnskin which is right by Big Bear Lake. Saturday night the fire began to rip through my camp. We have a huge meadow in the middle of the camp that was now destroyed, as far as I know 4 buildings were lost, our field where we play huge games of capture the flag is gone, our archery area is gone, our stables are also gone, we have so many horses, and thankfully they were taken to a safe place.

   While I was running the boards on Sunday morning I was watching the news and saw footage of my second home burning, I'm not gonna lie, I pretty much lost it in the studio, thankfully no one is there on Sundays. It's weird but to see a place where you grew up and have so many memories burn down, breaks ur heart, I know they can rebuild and I am thankful for that and the fact that no one was hurt, but it still makes you very sad. I guess I wanted to write this blog so that when people are in places that have a high fire risk they will be more careful! Also a big thank you to all of the fireman and everyone that helped out to stop the fire. Thanks

   So KIIS has this brand new concert coming up, I'm sure you've all heard about it. It's called Homecoming, and we have some awesome performers lined up...Gwen, Nicole Scherzinger, Sean Kingston, Timbaland with Keri Hilson and One Republic, Fabolous, and Llloyd....(phew, I need some air)

   I can't wait for the show, its always so much fun, I especially love the new theme "Homecoming" It actually got me thinking back to all my past homecomings...ok So it's been a bit since I've been in High School, Class of 02 (What What) But I still remember every Homecoming Dance, Homecoming Game, and of course every Homecoming Date!!! (Sigh....) So I thought I'd take you all on a blast to my past and show you a few photos I dug up of my Homecoming years at Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley...GO PARROTS!!!!

This is from my freshman year, this was our whole squad, JV and Varsity together. I'm in the middle next to my cheer sister in the crown! Cheesy yes...but so much fun!

This is from my senior year, this was my group of friends. We actually all still keep in touch and we've all been friends since pretty much Junior High!! I love these girls! (I hated the way I looked cause I had just come from work and didnt have time to get my hair done...but I still had a great time!)

This was me from my Junior year. I'm on the firetruck that we rode every year during the Homecoming parade! We also wore flower crowns every Homecoming game, I loved our traditions! I think a lot of other squads wore crowns too during their Homecoming games!

This is not from anything Homecoming but this was one of my really great friends MiMi, I love this photo of us!!! OOHHH the memories!!!

   If I find some more pictures I'll make sure to post them, I love going back in time and remembering where you came from, (if you dont know; you wont know where your going!)

I always love finding new music, especially from bands that are unknown...I remember watching a young band named Yellowcard perform my freshman year of college...(I graduated last year lol) And about a year ago a friend took me to a GCH concert...at the time I didnt know who they were but niether did a lot of people! (thanks Jess)

So this band's name is Shurman....not the typical KIIS music, but its always nice to listen to something different, they sound a bit ocuntry but they also have a bit of alternative to them....I just love good ole rock and roll!!! Give it a listen!

Yes it's that time of year again....FOOTBALL SEASON!!! KIIS knows how to celebrate football as well. This past Monday we went out to Fox Sports Grill in Irvine and hosted Monday Night Football. Bengals vs Ravens. (Who Dey) It was a great game, and such a good time with Melissa, Letty and Nemika. We gave out two jeresy's too...I wanted them DARN! Anyways here a photo with some really cool people we met who were BIG Bengal fans!!!

KIIS is gonna be at Fox Sports Grill every Monday night for the rest of the season, oh and if you're a Charger fan, the Charger girls come out and pose for pictures and what not! Too bad football players dont come out for us ladies right?! Hollar

      So I'm sure everyone has seen or heard about the britney performance. Yes we all know it wasn't good, she looked bored and she cleary has not yet gotten back to the old Britney. Personally I think she looked great for someone that has had two kids and some people need to take off the white wig and stop judging her! Get over the fact that she is a Mom...she's still an entertainer. She's not the first celeb Mom to wear something risky!

   With that said I'd like to not dwell on that bad performance but rather lets remember what it use to be like when Britney was HOT and a great performer. With bonus footage of my favorite boy band of all time N'SYNC!!!!! (the lack of justin in this video makes me cry, I guess they didnt know that he would be as big as he is today...can anyone say Justin was the best part of the VMA's?!?!?!?! I CAN!!!!!) So Brit...forget about the dumb stuff and start kicking some butt...if Mariah can have a good comeback...so can you!!!
