I had the best Holiday vacation ever!!! I was really hoping it wouldnt end or atleast extend it a little longer before coming back to work. I love my job, but I also love days off (who doesn't right??) anyway...Michael is back home and hopefully here to stay. He has another chance at Chivas USA in the next few weeks and if God willing, he wont have to go back to San Francisco!!! He has been training like a mad man, even during the Holidays. We drove up to San Francisco and Berkeley this past weekend for 2 days for a few errands that he needed to do. We had so much fun together! We had a great dinner on Friday night at this yummy chinese restaurant in Berkeley. The next day we spent the day in the city, he took me shopping and we had oysters for lunch! Our Saturday night ended at a Mediterranean restaurant! Seriously, I love food and my New year's resolution is not to lose weight, cause you know no one follows that, but to eat much more food, but REAL GOOD food. None of that fast food junk crap, but great dishes from all over the planet. I don't discriminate, put some good infront of me and Ill eat it. I want to take an international culinary class on the weekends (if I can find one, if you know of one or are a chef that is down to teach me a few tricks, send me an email!!) sometime this year.
And I also want to learn french in February! Why February? Well because speaking of doing things that are out of my element, I was invited to take part of the benefit production of The Vagina Monologues! The Vagina Monologues will take place this year in Hermosa Beach for 3 nights , January 31st, and Feb 1st and 2nd. This year marks the 10th anniversary of of V-Day, a non-profit organization that raises funds to create national and international organizations and programs that work to stop violence against women and girls. The production "The Vagina Monolgues" is one of the ways the organization raises money and spread awarness on an issue that many women around the world are afraid of. This year the production will raise money for the 1736 Family Crisis Center nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the safety and fostering of battered women and their children.
I'm reallty excited to do this because not only am I helping a great cause, but I am also stepping out of my element to try something new this early in the year! A great start to my new year's resolution! I've been working hard perfecting my monologue that I need to memorize. Every new sentence I memorize gets me that much more excited! cant waiT!!
If you are in the area and want to be part of a good cause, check out their website and get yourself some tickets! Tell all your girfriends about it too!!
