I lost my favorite pair of sunglasses..

    Tuesday, January 8, 2008, 08:22 PM [General]

I'm sad. I left them behind at Nordstroms and when I went back they were gone.

They were black, round and big and were perfect at hiding my multitude of sins. They followed me everywhere; tucked in my purse in case of emergencies. Now, all I have left is a picture (my profile pic). When I look at that pic I want to shed a tear! Ok...no..its not that serious, but now I have to go find some shades that will do exactly what my favorite did.

    Connect 4

    Friday, January 4, 2008, 12:15 PM [General]

Yesterday morning we woke up with pictures of Kanye West and Beyonce battling up with Connect 4! This totally inspired Natalie to head out to Target and buy the game...this mrong she brought it on and it was on! We all had a full on battle, we had about 16 games and I won 3 out of my 5 games! Not bad, for someone who had never played the game! Natalie won 6 games and Chris beat us all by winning 7!

    Starting The Year Off Right!

    Thursday, January 3, 2008, 01:46 PM [General]

I had the best Holiday vacation ever!!! I was really hoping it wouldnt end or atleast extend it a little longer before coming back to work. I love my job, but I also love days off (who doesn't right??) anyway...Michael is back home and hopefully here to stay. He has another chance at Chivas USA in the next few weeks and if God willing, he wont have to go back to San Francisco!!! He has been training like a mad man, even during the Holidays. We drove up to San Francisco and Berkeley this past weekend for 2 days for a few errands that he needed to do. We had so much fun together! We had a great dinner on Friday night at this yummy chinese restaurant in Berkeley. The next day we spent the day in the city, he took me shopping and we had oysters for lunch! Our Saturday night ended at a Mediterranean restaurant! Seriously, I love food and my New year's resolution is not to lose weight, cause you know no one follows that, but to eat much more food, but REAL GOOD food. None of that fast food junk crap, but great dishes from all over the planet. I don't discriminate, put some good infront of me and Ill eat it. I want to take an international culinary class on the weekends (if I can find one, if you know of one or are a chef that is down to teach me a few tricks, send me an email!!) sometime this year.

And I also want to learn french in February! Why February? Well because speaking of doing things that are out of my element, I was invited to take part of the benefit production of The Vagina Monologues! The Vagina Monologues will take place this year in Hermosa Beach for 3 nights , January 31st, and Feb 1st and 2nd. This year marks the 10th anniversary of of V-Day, a non-profit organization that raises funds to create national and international organizations and programs that work to stop violence against women and girls. The production "The Vagina Monolgues" is one of the ways the organization raises money and spread awarness on an issue that many women around the world are afraid of. This year the production will raise money for the 1736 Family Crisis Center nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the safety and fostering of battered women and their children.

I'm reallty excited to do this because not only am I helping a great cause, but I am also stepping out of my element to try something new this early in the year! A great start to my new year's resolution! I've been working hard perfecting my monologue that I need to memorize. Every new sentence I memorize gets me that much more excited! cant waiT!!

If you are in the area and want to be part of a good cause, check out their website and get yourself some tickets! Tell all your girfriends about it too!!

    What A Great Day!

    Friday, December 21, 2007, 09:42 PM [General]

There is no greater joy in the world than making a child smile and today we made a few children smile!!! Manny, Chris, Sadao and I headed out to the Boys and Girls Club of East LA to drop off the toys we have been gathering for the past 2 weeks during the morning show. It had to be one of the greatest feelings in the world. I was holding back tears of emotion, not because I was sad but because all these beautiful children made me feel so good inside. Seeing their little faces light up at the sight of all those toys under the tree was priceless. As soon as I got there I saw myself in all those little girls. I was a little girl like many of those that I met today, with a struggling family, barely making ends meet, living in a one room apartment, hoping for a Christmas toy.... I really got emotional. BUT it was all worth it! All the kids got a chance to pick their own toy from a mountain of toys and we still had a whole lot left over.

One thing though I may add, giving shouldn't just be something you do during the holidays, we need to do it year round. Especially to our kids, they are our future and no child should be without love and kisses and hugs...lots of hugs! So this weekend while you are scrambling with your last minute shopping, pick up a toy and give it to a child who REALLY needs it, trust me, that smile you get in return is totally worth it!

After we were done, I took the guys (Manny, Chris, Sadao) to my favorite place in the whole world! Yes...KING TACO on 3rd St. Those 3 tacos de asada that I ordered hit the spot! I was in little heaven!
