We have fun on our dates no matter what we are doing. I have to say though, one of the most perfect dates was when he had a friend fly us to Catalina Island for my birthday. I was completely surprised, even when we were pulling up to the airport I had no idea. He is always surprising me like that.
Your PERFECT Engagement
He had planned a trip for us to see a play I had been wishing to see, Wicked. We stayed in Hollywood for a couple days as well. The night we were going to see the play we were both dressed up and about to head out of the room to meet the taxi. Then he had me sit down on the bed while he got down on one knee and proposed. Of course I was on cloud nine all night, along with seeing the greatest play ever! Here are some pictures from the trip...

Robert's best friend, Manuel.
I just realized something thismorning, that I have been taking for granted. I stayed the night at Robert's lastnight and thismorning as he was getting ready for work he was using a flashlight to get around his room so he wouldn't wake me. It was funny but cute watching him look in his closet with the flashlight for his clothes. I hope he was able to find matching socks! ha!
One of the things I love about Robert is that he has served our country. Not only did he help out our nation, but I believe that experience also shaped who he is today. He is very disciplined in all of his actions and that rubs off on me and makes me a better person as well. Whenever I want to slack on something he steps in and says, "wait a minute, your not getting off that easy".
Don't get me wrong there are times when he tries to let things slide too and that's where I step in and have to give him a taste of his own medicine. Ha! Just recently we have been trying to get into shape and we have both had to encourage the other. That is just another reason why we work as a couple.
