Why my school should win JoJo Jam
-
For more than half a century, Rosemead has built itself off the values of sincerity, honor, tolerance, and service, but in the eyes of a normal student, such as myself, what the students at Rosemead High School have is spirit. Anyone that has attended, or even visited our school will agree that the students have a roar of panther pride.
Every year, our school strives to put forth the greatest events and opportunities possible for both the staff and the students. Through events as the Big R, held the first Friday of every school year, in which students from every club, sport, and class shows their sense of panther pride. From the painted faces, to the student's banners that stretch across the whole auditorium, pride is truly shown in this event. Other events like the Gong Show, also held every year, brings forth an opportunity to students to express themselves, whether it is singing, playing an instrument, or break dancing. Of course, like every other gong show, the audience decides whether you make it, or break it.
Rosemead High School, although it has its share of greatness, also holds great tragedy. Within the past year, Rosemead High School suffered extreme loss over the death of four great teachers. Jim Zant, Morris Barcroft, Louie Madrigal, and Danny Herrera were four great teachers and coaches that have passed away within the past year. Students at Rosemead High School faced great sorrow, with each loss. With every death, the Rosemead Panthers responded with great respect, honor, and pride by organizing fundraisers and a candlelight vigil in from the school for each and every one of them. The hundreds of candles that illuminated Rosemead High School burned from the passion of these students, and truly shown great respect, and spirit towards not only fellow students, but teachers as well.
It is obvious that Rosemead High School does not intend on making Einstein’s out of the students, but rather great individuals that can hold on to what they believe in. Through our endless provisions of school wide events to raise spirit with the help of out of school volunteers, such as taboo from Black Eyed Peas, Rosemead High School has developed itself as a school with great pride! We are Panthers, and let our pride be heard through our roars!
ROSEMEAD HIGH SCHOOL
-ALMA MATER-
In the heart of our fair valley
stands our worthy school;
Where maroon and grey mean honor
school of golden rule.
Raise your voices,
wake the echoes
Rosemead values tell.
Hail to thee our Alma Mater
school we love so well.
ROSEMEAD SLIDESHOW
Big R assembly 2008
Each and every year, Rosemead High School holds an assembly in our auditorium called the "Big R". Big R is an assembly where our students show their class and school spirits by constantly cheering throughout the assembly. Performances by our spirit squads are also seen and our fall sports are also recognized. The roars of the crowd fills the auditorium and so do spray painted shirts and banners that fill the whole stage. Thoughout this assembly, there is never a time when there is no sound. The only thing that is heard are the voices of our spirited students.

By the way, for those who didn't know, Prima J attended Rosemead High School. Lol, my brother told me, class of '06 :).
