Your PERFECT Date
Our perfect date consists of dinner, a movie, some wine, and a hot tub.
Your PERFECT Engagement
It was really sweet. Samantha had a feeling it was going to happen. She thought it was going to be that weekend because they were going on a trip. So the Thursday before their trip Samantha called Patrick after work and asked him to pick up dinner(little did she know she was setting up her own proposal!). He said okay and came home with the California Pizza Kitchen(Samantha's favorite). He orders the chipotle pizza and they always forget to give us the toppings. So he looks in the bag and says, "They forgot the chipotle sauce. Oh wait they gave us this." and he pulled out one of the toppings. Then he said, "Oh wait, what is this?" and he pulled out the box. Samantha was shocked! Then he hobbled(he had sprained is leg two weeks earlier) over to her, got down on one knee and said, "Will you be my wife?" It was so sweet and unexpected. Then we kissed and hugged. Then drank our wine and ate our CPK.
She's PERFECT because
She has the kindest heart. I have never met anyone with as much patience. She goes to work everyday and gets hit, scratched, bitten, and things thrown at her by the children she works with, but she loves everything about her job. Samantha is my best friend and I know that I can rely on her and trust her with everything. I also forgot to mention that she has an amazing smile that can light up any room!
He's PERFECT because
I don't even know where to start!!! Patrick is my best friend and the love of my life. I don't know who I would be today without him in my life. He was my inspiration for finishing school and the reason I will continue my education to get my Masters. I know that he loves me so much and I have never felt as confident and loved as I do with him.
Your dream for the PERFECT life together
We have so many dreams for what our life could be. But our perfect life consists of health and happiness for ourselves and our loved ones. We also want to be financially stable so that we will be able to enjoy our life and our children without the pressure that finances can add.
Our perfect wedding colors will be
Black with pale pink. We are flexible though! We have changed our minds a few times. Alright, Samantha has changed her mind a few times! Patrick just says, "Okay babe."
The perfect wedding flowers will be
Neither one of us is really good with flowers! But we love the look of Plumerias and Lillies. Oh and Roses are so very romantic!
The perfect wedding music will be
Something that our guests can dance to, maybe some "Thriller", or a little "Rock your body". We just want everyone moving and rocking out!
Our first dance will be to
Our song is "You and Me" by Lifehouse; however, we are thinking about doing a "Rock the Reception" type of dance to really shock everyone! We have a poll in one of our blogs so YOU can help us choose!
The guest most likely to cry
Samantha's sisters Nicole and Kelle. They all get teary eyed just thinking about Samantha getting married! FYI Nicole started crying the first time she checked out our page!!! What a nerd!
The guest most likely to embarrass themselves
Samantha's sister Julie. She can get crazy! Love you Julie!!! Oh and Patrick's best man, Jeff. But we think we would be embarrassed for him!
The guest most likely to give the PERFECT toast
Val, Patrick's mom. She is so excited for us and so happy that her son found an amazing woman.
This was the best weekend ever! We had so much fun and definitely got our minds off of the contest! Friday night, Patrick and I went to a very nice dinner at one of our favorite places in Mission Viejo, Antonucci's. The food there is soooo good! Then Patrick's friend Dennis came over to my sisters house that we took over for the weekend an hung out. On Saturday, Patrick and I went to the pool and relaxed for a few hours, then went to dinner with our friends Lindsay, Lauren, and Keith. After dinner we hung out at Kelle's house. There is never a dull moment when we all get together. It was so much fun! Sunday we went to Brunch at Woody's in Newport. If you live anywhere near there, you HAVE to go! It is seriously the best and the champagne is always flowing! After brunch, Lindsay, Lauren, and I went to David's Bridal so I could show them my dress and so Lauren could try on wedding gowns(she is getting married in Jan 2010) and Lindsay could try on Bridesmaids dresses. It was pretty fun and Lauren found a dress! Yay! After that Lauren and I met up with Patrick and Keith at another couple's house for a BBQ. It was really fun and they have two really cute kids. Then today we went sailing in the Newport Harbor with Lindsay and Dennis. It was a blast. Lindsay and I bought some pretty amazing sunglasses(see pics below!) and got our palms read. The girl didn't know anything about me and everything she said was pretty much the exact opposite of what was really happening. Oh well. Her nephew was just diagnosed with Autism, so I was at least able to give her some information! We also had a pretty amazing lunch at the Harborview Pavillion. It was so beautiful there and the happy hour is the best! All food and drinks are $4! It was nuts! We sailed around for a good 4 hours. Then Patrick and I headed home. We were able to get so much in this weekend and not feel completely beat! Yay for that! Well, I will more than likely be sleeping tomorrow when Ryan calls the first finalist, so good luck all! We are really excited to see who the finalists are going to be!
We are still pretty bummed about dropping out... We were hoping that we would be distracted this weekend and not think about it, but we still are. I mean it is 10:30 on a Friday night and here we are. For us we were so excited to be getting married sooner rather than later. Stupid taxes! They really are the worst! Well we are back to our scheduled wedding date of September 12, 2009. We will more than likely get married in Westlake at the yacht club (it is surprisingly cheap for the location). I also know an amazing caterer that caters to the stars and will be giving me a phenominal deal seeing as he is my sisters best friend =). So we are good. We will have a beautiful wedding that will be perfect to us. We know that we made the right choice, but it is still hard. We really did spend a lot of time on this website, trying to make it perfect. Oh well.... We should have thought about the rules we read a little sooner. Good luck to all of you couples out there!
We are both completely devastated! We have put so much time and effort into this contest over the last month. We called Kiis and canceled the interview that we had for tomorrow. We found out how much the taxes would be if we were to win the contest and there is no way we could pay it. We definitely do not want to start our life together in serious debt. We want to wish all of you guys the best of luck! We will definitely be voting, so you have about 2 weeks to win us over! =) We may still blog because we both really enjoyed it! Good luck all and may the best couple win!
Everytime I hear this song, I always think about the day that Patrick and I will start our happily ever after. I literally get teary eyed. I am sure there are some other girls out there too who will feel the same way. Listen to the words! And the video is really cute too!
My nephew Ray is so freaking cute! This weekend I took him with me to Coffee Bean and I got his a chocolate milk. When we got home, I taught him how to cheers. It is so cute. My sister Morgan video taped it. He is such a cutie!
