Today's Topic: Be a Student

Yesterday I was talking to my friend about how lucky we are to have the jobs we have.  He is in a similar industry and one of the "young ones" as well.  A lot of hard work and long hours have led me to where I'm at right now.  Achieving goals can be easy if you let yourself be taught.  We don't know everything especially when it comes to a job.  I would always say I approach every situation with an open mind; whether it comes to work or relationships.   I allow myself to always be a student and learn new things everyday. 

Sometimes people ask me how I got hired at KIIS... I respond with "I worked my a$% off!" lol.  No, but seriously I worked hard, I took criticism constructively every time and I am always honest and humble.  Everyone makes mistakes and there's no point in trying to cover it up to make you look perfect.  We're human and it's always best to own up to something than to hide or lie about it. People respect you for that. The best thing you can have with anyone, boss, co-worker, lover, family. .  is TRUST! I hope today you learn something new and further your goals in life.  If you're stubborn and still think you know it all about whatever it is you do...  Step back and allow yourself to be taught.
