Today's Topic: Step Ya Game!
Last Sunday there was like a marathon of Snoop Dogg's Father Hood. I watched like 4 episodes? I know couch potato! Anyway if you're familiar with the show then you know towards the end of it he always has a lesson of the day. This is where he teaches you some "snoop vocabulary". One that I really liked was when he said "Step ya game". It means, where ever you're at in your life right now, just step it up a notch.
I like to think that I am always setting goals for myself and trying to better my life. It doesn't have to be something so extreme like you're at the bottom of your company and want to be the boss over night. Just "step ya game" a little bit. If you're going to school and there's that extra time to talk to your professor at least one time a week, do it. I found out in college that when you get to know your professor, it shows them that you are making an effort and could help you if you're on the border between an A or a B. At work if you have mastered all your skills required, learn something knew. "Step ya game" by working out more. If you are working out 3 times a week, maybe every other week make it 4. You can apply this to so many things. If you make $10 an hour, try to be making $20 hour. If you work so much you hardly ever have time to spend with your kids, take a few hours this weekend and do something together.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. My nephew Reilly turns 4 tomorrow and we're having a big birthday party for him with a Thomas the Train Piñata. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures to post on Monday. I would like to dedicate today's "Girl Talk with Sis" to the man.... SNOOP!
Xoxo,
Sisanie
