So on April 29th, 2006 I wrote my very first Blog on myspace and yesterday I decided to read it. Even now almost 2 years later, there is still much truth to this Blog thus I decided to share it with you.
"Aggressive guys need take a chill pill. It's pretty obvious when a girl is into you. At least I make it pretty obvious. So when you can sense that a girl is a.) Avoiding you and or b.) Pulling away from you etc. Get a clue! I hate how guys just assume that if you're hanging out with them then you have to be their girl and cater to their needs. Blaaaaaaaaahh Can't a girl just meet a guy without it being sexual? Don't grab my arm to get my attention when I'm walking to the dance floor, don't grab my a$* when you walk by me and don't assume that because you buy me a drink (that you offered to buy me in the first place) we're now gonna be soul mates and make out! If I'm into you I'll let you know.... trust me! And if you are with somebody else and acting this way... FOR SHAME!
First of all I don't respect anyone who cheats on their girlfriend or boyfriend. You obviously have issues with yourself and lack of affection in your life. Grow up and figure yourself out before you start screwing up other people's lives. It makes me sick that people can't find anything wrong with that?!!!! Once a cheater always a cheater and I'm sorry to tell you this, you're probably never going to change. I know it's really sad, because I know many dope people that are genuine and nice but just can't control this aspect about themselves. I feel sorry for people that are with these cheaters and have no clue what's really going on. OR they might know but are just in denial which is unfortunate as well."
Maybe it's too harsh... sorry but I think when I wrote this I was pretty fed up with guys like this. I hope you didn't experience men like this last night when you went out for St. Patty's Day.
Is green beer safe? 5 Things you MUST know for St. Patrick's Day 2008
Find out with a few things you probably didn't know about St. Patrick's Day...
5 St. Patrick's Day 2008 Facts
1. Irish Music=U2? No, you don't have to pretend to like U2 or Sinead O'Connor just because it's St. Patrick's Day. In addition to free Celtic and Irish music downloads, there are plenty of other Irish bands to check out-including political rockers Black 47, rowdy pub brawlers the Pogues and mellower countrymen the Frames (leader Glen Hansard just won an Oscar for his work with Marketa Irglova in the movie musical, Once (soundtrack downloads here)).
2. Is Green Beer Safe? While the green food coloring added to beer is harmless, the fact that the green stuff is usually added to low quality brew is nearly sacrilegious. On this holiday celebrating all things Irish, it's best to drink a responsible amount of a quality beverage, like the traditional Guinness, rather than to gorge on green bargain beer (it might seem like a good idea, but you'll pay for it Tuesday morning). Historically speaking, it might be wise to avoid British brews as well.
3. Where's the best St. Patrick's Day Parade? St. Patrick's Day comes from Ireland, but the largest parade for the day is held in New York City, features over 150,000 participants and is viewed by over 2 million spectators. The first official one in NYC was held in 1766, making in the second-longest running in the country, second to Boston, where the parade debuted in 1737. Of course, the folks of Dublin, Ireland likely have rights the title of best parade, even if it isn't the biggest.
4. Where are the Shamrock Shakes? While it really has nothing to do with Ireland or St. Patrick, Shamrock Shakes became a St. Patrick's Day tradition for McDonald's fans in 1980s. The fast-food chain made the lightly mint flavored shake available from February to March in recognition of St. Patrick's Day. However, in recent years the novelty shakes have become increasingly hard to come by, inspiring fans to launch websites such as this in an attempt to bring back the treat, or finding out where it's offered.
5. Do You Have to Wear Green? Many revelers choose to wear green on this day as a tribute to the Emerald Isle, but it's perfectly acceptable to wear any of the colors represented in the Irish flag-green, white and orange.

Have a wonderful and fun St. Patrick's Day... be safe!
Last Sunday there was like a marathon of Snoop Dogg's Father Hood. I watched like 4 episodes? I know couch potato! Anyway if you're familiar with the show then you know towards the end of it he always has a lesson of the day. This is where he teaches you some "snoop vocabulary". One that I really liked was when he said "Step ya game". It means, where ever you're at in your life right now, just step it up a notch.
I like to think that I am always setting goals for myself and trying to better my life. It doesn't have to be something so extreme like you're at the bottom of your company and want to be the boss over night. Just "step ya game" a little bit. If you're going to school and there's that extra time to talk to your professor at least one time a week, do it. I found out in college that when you get to know your professor, it shows them that you are making an effort and could help you if you're on the border between an A or a B. At work if you have mastered all your skills required, learn something knew. "Step ya game" by working out more. If you are working out 3 times a week, maybe every other week make it 4. You can apply this to so many things. If you make $10 an hour, try to be making $20 hour. If you work so much you hardly ever have time to spend with your kids, take a few hours this weekend and do something together.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. My nephew Reilly turns 4 tomorrow and we're having a big birthday party for him with a Thomas the Train Piñata. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures to post on Monday. I would like to dedicate today's "Girl Talk with Sis" to the man.... SNOOP!
So this morning my friend calls me very upset. According to her she is having "the worst day of her life". How is this possible I think to myself, it's only 8:30am? Well I guess all "the bad" began yesterday when a cop gave her a "fix it" ticket, and then she found out that her company was going out of business and she would soon have to look for a new job. On top of all that, this morning as she was driving to her soon non-existent job, she got pulled over again for speeding.
Ahhh, so yes I think we can all agree that this series of events are pretty crappy. My friend was furious and so angry telling me that her day is ruined and now she's basically working for free because she is going to have to pay for all these tickets. I've never seen her so upset; I felt really bad but just reminded her that what seems so awful right now in her life won't be this way forever. What is down must eventually come back up. Don't let all of this affect your day. That is the one thing that YOU are in control of.
My dad use to always tell me when I was little and upset or crying over something. "Sisanie, being angry or upset is double the work, you have to cry and use all this energy and then you are going to have to work hard on being happy again." It's so true and has always stuck with me. So when someone or something gets you angry, try and look past the situation and focus on your happiness. That's the most important thing.

"Holding on to anger, resentment and hurt only gives you tense muscles, a headache and a sore jaw from clenching your teeth. Forgiveness gives you back the laughter and the lightness in your life." - Joan Lunden
Yesterday I was talking to my friend about how lucky we are to have the jobs we have. He is in a similar industry and one of the "young ones" as well. A lot of hard work and long hours have led me to where I'm at right now. Achieving goals can be easy if you let yourself be taught. We don't know everything especially when it comes to a job. I would always say I approach every situation with an open mind; whether it comes to work or relationships. I allow myself to always be a student and learn new things everyday.
Sometimes people ask me how I got hired at KIIS... I respond with "I worked my a$% off!" lol. No, but seriously I worked hard, I took criticism constructively every time and I am always honest and humble. Everyone makes mistakes and there's no point in trying to cover it up to make you look perfect. We're human and it's always best to own up to something than to hide or lie about it. People respect you for that. The best thing you can have with anyone, boss, co-worker, lover, family. . is TRUST! I hope today you learn something new and further your goals in life. If you're stubborn and still think you know it all about whatever it is you do... Step back and allow yourself to be taught.
Xoxo,
Sisanie
