Girl Talk with Sis... "Baby Talk"

Thursday, October 2, 2008, 10:35 AM PST [Girl Talk With SIS]

    Today's Topic: Baby Talk

So last night I'm watching re-runs of Sex and the City and Samantha was talking about how she was having an amazing night with this guy until he started using "baby talk".  Woooooah! This got me thinking, I don't think I've ever dated a "baby talker". In the episode all the girls were pretty disturbed by the idea of a man  "ooooie shoookie baby goooing you" and I think I would be too.

I think only girls can get away with the "baby talk"... I would think that men would consider it cute or maybe some would find it annoying.  Either way I think ladies have a way better chance pulling off the baby talk than men do.  What do you think? You know.... now that I   think about it, I would allow ONE Pet Name... that's it !  LOL

Girl Talk with Sis..."Should you date your best guy friend?"

Tuesday, September 30, 2008, 10:47 AM PST [Girl Talk With SIS]

Today's Topic: "Should you date your best guy friend?"

The other day my intern told me she's kinda confused because she feels like there may be sparks between her and her best guy friend.  She asked me if I would ever date one of my guy friends.  Hmmmm. . .  I always like to wish that we can be friends with guys without ever having the urge to get together.  But sometimes that's not the case.

I think when you spend a lot of time with someone of the opposite sex you naturally and maybe subconsciously develop a crush for them because you want to believe that you are good together when you may or may not be.  It's scary because if you end up deciding to date and it doesn't work out?  Then there goes your best friend!!!!  Your "friend" relationship will never be the same.  I would say take your time with the best friend.  If your friendship is amazing then why try to mess it up with a romance.  Unless if you have absolutely no doubts that you want to commit 100% to this person I would say don't do it.  Even then, we're still kinda young and changing our minds all the time about the person we are becoming.  Your best guy friend isn't going anywhere.  Focus on what you know is working for sure and that's your friendship.

Girl Talk with Sis.. "My Weekend Wrap-Up"

Monday, September 29, 2008, 11:30 AM PST [Girl Talk With SIS]

    Today's Topic: Weekend-Wrap Up

Another fantastic weekend... my old roommate from college came to visit me.  It was so great to see her.  We went over to my brother's house on Saturday and had a little BBQ.  Mmmm corn on the cob and carne asada was amazing! Haha ... Saturday Night we went to this bar called Parlor in Santa Monica.  That was fun! I must say a way different crowd than Hollywood.

Sunday morning my friend Laffit planned this great brunch at Mo's in Burbank.  We had mimosas and indulged in some delicious omelets and home-style potatoes.  I had a few people over for the Chargers game yesterday and YAAAAAAAAAAAAY we beat the Raiders 28-18!  I wore my jersey all day!  Friends and family that's what the weekends are all about... have a great Monday :)

    Xoxo,

    Sisanie
