Mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears is sporting some sparkling new jewelry - an engagement ring from fiancé Casey Aldridge.
Spears, 16, has been flashing the rock to friends and family around Louisiana and Mississippi, a source close to the family tells PEOPLE.
"She's got an engagement ring," the source says. "She's been showing it off, talking about it."
Spears and her 18-year-old fiancé are expecting the baby this summer. No official word yet on a wedding date for the couple.

The 46-year-old admitted to visiting Austria to partake in a detox treatment that involves your body being covered in leeches. Demi said, "I was in Austria doing a cleanse and part of the treatment was leech therapy. These aren't just swamp leeches though - we are talking about highly trained medical leeches. The auther of the Harry Potter books considered ending her life in the 1990's after her first marriage ended with Jorge Arante. She said, "We're talking suicidal thoughts here, we're not talking 'I'm a little bit miserable. Mid-twenties life circumstances were poor and I really plummeted."

Tori Spelling has yet to be contacted by the producers of the Beverly Hills, 90210 remake the CW is developing, but Spelling, who played Donna Martin on the original show for 10 years, is ready to step up if she gets offered a role.
"My dad always wanted to do a new version of 90210, so I'm sure he will be beaming from above!" Spelling, 34, tells PEOPLE, referring to her father, the show's producer Aaron Spelling. "And I'd love to somehow be a part of it. That as well would make my dad proud!"
So what kind of role does she envision for herself?
"Well, I am a mom now, proud to say, but obviously too young to have a teenager, so maybe I could be one of the main character's young stepmom," says Spelling, who is expecting her second child. "Playing the funny sex ed teacher at the high school would be funny, too, considering Donna Martin was America's most infamous virgin."
She adds: "The show was a huge part of my life. Ten years! I miss it dearly."

It's a sad coda to a terrible tragedy: Heath Ledger's uncles and dad are squabbling over the late actor's estate, with the uncles trying to wrest control of his assets from Heath's dad Kim.
People reports that the uncles claim that Kim Ledger plunged their own grandfather's estate into "enormous debt" - and they're worried that the same thing will happen to Heath's considerable estate. They say they're only worried about Matilda - and Kim has said that Heath's little girl "will be taken care of."
News reports say that Kim was removed as executor of his grand-dad's estate by the Australian Supreme Court.
