While Ashlee Simpson has not yet officially confirmed her pregnancy, she's certainly eating with gusto.
After her MTV TRL taping Wednesday, the newly engaged 23-year-old joined her mother, bodyguard and three friends for lunch at Virgil's BBQ in New York City's Times Square.
Simpson, who revealed her engagement to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, 28, last week, is in the Big Apple promoting her album Bittersweet World.
On Monday a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the two are expecting and plan to wed in May in La Jolla, Calif., at a friend's house.
Cameron Diaz's father Emilio Diaz passed away this morning after a bout with pneumonia, according to TMZ:
We're told the 58-year-old Emilio Diaz, a popular resident of Seal Beach, Calif., recently developed the flu which then turned into pneumonia. We hear his death was "shocking" as Emilio was in "terrific health." Diaz is currently filming her upcoming flick "My Sister's Keeper." A source on the set tells us production on the film was shut down today.

Paris Hilton has apologized to Kim Kardashian after insulting her former best friend's most famous asset. "I would not want [Kim's butt] - it's gross!" Paris told a Las Vegas radio show on April 14. "It reminds me of cottage cheese inside a big trash bag." However, after a portion of the Kim-bashing interview was posted on perezhilton.com, a devastated Paris realized she went too far. "I was just joking around and I made a stupid joke," Paris tells In Touch exclusively. "I felt really bad afterward, so I contacted Kim and apologized. It was a silly thing to say. Kim's hot!" Kim accepts the apology, telling In Touch, "Paris and I have been friends since we were kids and I'm glad she made the effort to say she's sorry."

Britney Spears has reportedly kept a video diary of all her trouble for the past six months. Sources say she rants about everything. Brit has threatened to release the videos online or through MTV.
A source said, "Britney's video diaries are the talk of the Tinseltown elite. Her high-profile friends and exes - including Justin - knew what she was up to but assumed she was filming herself as a form of therapy. If she does decide to go public with the footage, it'll be explosive. Although some of it is really sad to watch - especially the parts where she's close to breakdown - others are dynamite. Not surprisingly both JT and Kevin Federline are terrified the material will end up all over the net. Or, even worse, Britney will agree to another MTV documentary, and release some of the footage through official channels."

Pete wrote this e-mail to MTV today:
"There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood. This is all news to me. I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover. ... I mean really, this is crazy. ... I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it."
21-year-old actress Lindsay Lohan - who was sued last week by a former bodyguard - spent the weekend hitting the hottest clubs in L.A. with her good pal, DJ Samantha Ronson.
Thursday night they hit the upstairs VIP area of Goa. Lohan (who has said she's "back on track" after her stints in rehab) bopped to the music as Ronson spun in the DJ booth. "Lohan was obviously having a good time, dancing very sexy," says an onlooker. "She was quite the center of attention."
The next night, it was all about Foxtail: Lohan sat at a table near the dance floor nursing a bottle of Voss water while Ronson worked the room saying hello to friends. Later, they snuck a few cigarettes at their indoor table.
And finally, to round out their weekend, they hit Teddy's at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Saturday.

Another Baby Shower for Jessica
Jessica Alba gave guests at her baby shower a lovely leather bracelet with the words "life, love, health, etc" written on it. They were asked to put on the bracelet before saying a prayer together. Page Six reports the guests were then told not to take off the bracelet until her baby is born. Wooaaaaaah, that is some commitment to their friend Jessica. Whats next make all the guests get matching tattoos!? She does look cute all pregnant though huh?

Apparently since she's got her old manager back, he's been pitching the idea to all the major networks. It would basically be a show about her trying to come back and her every day struggles.... I would totally watch it! :)
It's the end of the road for American Idol's Michael Johns.
The Australian singer, who performed Aerosmith's "Dream On" earlier this week, and was thrilled to participate in Idol Gives Back the following night, was sent packing in a surprising elimination Thursday. I didn't think he would go home at all! I think David Cook has it in the bag now.
