Jamie Lynn Spears and her fiancé Casey Aldridge welcomed a baby girl Thursday morning. The baby was named Maddie Briann. Jamie Lynn's sister Britney, father Jamie and brother Bryan flew in Wednesday to be with her for the birth; her mother Lynne had been with her helping her get ready for the baby.

Johnny Depp made good on a promise - Depp recently finished shooting "Public Enemies" in Wisconsin where he plays 1930's bank robber John Dillinger. A local young boy who observed the filming really wanted the fedora that Depp wears in the movie and asked if he could have it - Depp promised the hat to the boy once filming was completed. And last week - Depp followed through and sent the hat to the boy.
Mario Lopez may be PEOPLE's Hottest Bachelor (eh, he's not my type) - but the A Chorus Line star and fitness buff has a shocking admission: He was a chubby baby. "I looked like a sumo wrestler," Lopez says in a new interview. "My mom had to pull the fat folds apart when she bathed me!" But that's all in his past.

A source told The London Paper (via Showbiz Spy), "Suddenly Naomi flipped and started swinging her arms about manically. No one could work out what was wrong with her. She was shouting and screaming as her friends desperately tried to get her into the car. She was ranting incomprehensibly."

Things are going very well for Jimmy Kimmel. His ratings are up and, more importantly, ABC has just shown a great sign of confidence in the funny man. The network has given Jimmy an early contract extension. Now, his late night talker will be on the air at least through 2010. Congrats!
Phyllis Lyon, 84, and Del Martin, 87, reportedly became the first gay couple married in the state of California at 5:01pm in San Francisco's City Hall.
Phyllis told the crowd at City Hall, "We're very happy and we're very grateful for all of you coming."

Let it Go Already!!!
The Miley Cyrus photo controversy reared its ugly head once again - this time on Tuesday's Today show, when Miley's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, made his first TV comments about the negative reaction to the pictures in the June issue of Vanity Fair.
"I didn't know they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket," Cyrus, appearing to promote his NBC show Nashville Star, told show anchor Meredith Vieira. Of the seemingly topless shot of his daughter, he said, "I was surprised when I saw it ... but, hey, that's life. Stuff happens."
Of the complaints that surfaced once the photos became public, Cyrus said he never thought to complain. "I didn't," he told Vieira, " 'cause my dad always said, 'The more you stomp in poop, the more it stinks.' "
His own reaction, he said, was, "Okay, this happened. We gotta deal with it."
Page Six reports that Paris Hilton walked into The Puppy Store on Melrose in Los Angeles over the weekend and tried to buy a puppy for a photo shoot, so that "she could look cuter."
The pet store obviously knows her history, so they refused to sell her one. A source said, "She started screaming, 'I love my puppies! I want my baby!'"
The always polite and considerate, Kanye West, ticked off the crowd at the Bonnaroo Musical Festival in Tennessee because his set started two hours late. The AP reports that Kanye was scheduled for 2:45am, but he didn't go on until 4:25am.
The two hour delay was blamed on Kanye's massive set. The crew had to put together some gigantic Star Trek spaceship or something and that's what took so long.
The audience did not approve of the delay and some of them started throwing glow sticks at the stage and shouting "Kanye Sucks!"
