Our perfect date is truly just being together. We love to cook dinner at home then take it down to the beach and have a sunset dinner.
Your PERFECT Engagement
Our perfect engagement was perfect! We drove to Monterey, Ca for Memorial Day weekend. Monterey was the place of our first vacation together and he decided we should go back. On May 25, 2008 we started out the morning having breakfast in bed and then we got ready and headed to Lover's Point. Lovers Point is a park and a bunch of rocks that extend out into the ocean. Sal like climbing on the rocks but they scare me a little. He kept taking me further and further until I refused to go any further. At that point he turned towards me and got down on one knee. He said "will you marry me?" I was so shocked that my foot slipped on the rocks and I fell on my butt. He helped me up, put the ring on my finger and I said yes. I ended up with a few bruises on my leg but it was the perfect place for the perfect proposal!

She's PERFECT because
Sheri is perfect because she is an inspiration to many women. She came from a very abusive relationship and has been able to defy the odds. I think other women in her position would have just given up. She has found a way to be a wonderful mother to her 2 kids and still maintains honor status academically. I don't think there is anything she can't do. She makes me want to be a better man and I love her for everything that she is and that she is able to become. With Sheri, I see a bright future and that makes me the happiest man alive!
He's PERFECT because
Sal is perfect because he accepts my imperfections and loves me for them. He understands me better than anyone else. He sees what I have been through and doesn't hold it against me. He helps me throught the hard days and no matter what he is the rock I need him to be. He is allowing me to complete my dream of being an RN and helps me study when I need it. In all these ways he is perfect but if I could only pick one way he was perfect it is the way he has stepped up to be a great dad and a great role model to my 2 kids. He doesn't see them as someone else's kids, he sees them as his kids and that makes him truly the PERFECT man!
Your dream for the PERFECT life together
Our perfect life together begins with US! I imagine a nice house, me working as an RN and Sal working on cars. I see my kids and us having a happy family and maybe a new addition one day. As long as we have the kids and each other, our life is perfect no matter what we are doing!

Sal's grandma. She cries over any little thing. We like to help buy her groceries because she is on a fixed income and she cries everytime!!
The guest most likely to embarrass themselves
Sal's Uncle Mike. He is a funny guy but most of the time his jokes or pranks end up embarrassing himself.

Thomas "Beast" Navarro - the best man. Sal has known Thomas for many years and no one knows him or us better than the "beast" himself
We ARE the perfect couple to be chosen for this wonderful wedding! Sal and I have been together 4 years. I can honestly say Sal saved my life along with the lives of my children. He saved me from an abusive relationship with my ex-husband. My ex had bashed my head into concrete, ran over my foot with a car, assaulted me physically, mentally and sexually and had even beat my daughter black and blue with a belt. Me and my kids were at rock bottom when we met Sal. He gave me the strength to leave and divorce my husband, he allowed me to go back to school to get my RN license and assumed full financial responsibility for me and the kids, and most important, he bacame a dad and a role model to my kids that they had never had before. We want to get married but since I still have 1 year left of school we just cant afford it. Also, because of the eonomy, Sal's job has been calling them off at least twice a week. Until this contest came up, we were even debating putting the wedding off till we could afford it or even just going down and getting married by the Justice of the Peace. Times are tough for us right now and so to win this wedding would be a dream come true.
