Hello everyone! This is Andrea. So... you want to know what the perfect couple is like. Let me tell you a little bit about us. :) I've been thinking about Tony's and my relationship alot since I heard about this contest. At first, little things entered my mind - like how Tony checks my coffee and tea before I drink it to make sure I don't burn my tongue; the occasional "just because" flowers he surprises me with when he comes to my house; the random cards we put on each other's cars (and Christmas, when we both accidentally bought each other the same card from different stores!) - the list goes on. There's alot of BIG things too. We go all out to make each other feel special for our birthdays, for instance. Each year we go somewhere or do something that neither one of us has ever done before. It's so much fun to see the reaction on the other person's face when something new and exciting happens! Rosarito, the hot air balloon ride, Catalina, spa treatments, the Grand Canyon, etc... You get the idea. :) Birthdays are our favorite times of the year.
I also thought about Tony's parents - married for almost 40 years now. We want to model our relationship after theirs... I see so many similarities already. The way we discuss differences in opinions, how we adore and take care of each other, and how we continue to learn from and about one another everyday. I see the wonderful partnership of his parents and know that after 40 years things are only going to get better. I can't wait!!! We planned on having a long engagement just so we could save up enough money for the wedding and eventually buy a house. This "perfect wedding" would be an amazing start to our marriage. We've already had a few of these! One time Tony wanted to surprise me and didn't tell me where we were going. He took me to dinner at the Rusty Pelican in Newport. Then afterwards he took me to a beautiful secluded beach and I was blind folded so I had no idea where we were. Once he finally let me see, he had setup a bonfire along with champagne right on the shore. He also had love songs playing from a CD that he had made me for that night. The beach is one of our favorite places, it was perfect!!
Your PERFECT Engagement
Ours!! Tony took me to the Griffith Observatory on Christmas Eve. I knew something was up, but he kept me guessing about whether he'd actually take the plunge :) till the actual moment when he got down on one knee. By then, we had been there for a while, my feet hurt, and he was giving me piggy back rides around the observatory. But at sundown, when the city lights came on and we were overlooking the beautiful view from above, he nervously asked me to be his wife. I couldn't take the smile off of my face for the entire tram ride down to our car. Our friends & family were already calling to congratulate us by the time we left! We met up with Tony's family later for Christmas Eve and all 50 people there were standing at the door waiting to congratulate us! It was perfect!!
She's PERFECT because
She is a part of me, the best part of me. She's my best friend as well as the love of my life. We think the same and many times find ourselves completing each other's sentences or saying the same things at the same times. I can't imagine life without her anymore. She brings a smile to my face even on a bad day. She has just made my life so much more beautiful. We love each other's company and even after five years it's like we're still a new couple. I know she's perfect for me because marriage in and of itself honestly scared me before, but when I think of marriage with her I become excited and feel at peace. She's perfect =].
He's PERFECT because
Tony is a wonderful Christian man. He lets me be myself and makes me want to be better at the same time. He enables me to discover things about myself that I probably never would have realized without him. He has a calming presence and a soothing voice - this is especially important after dealing with an hour and a half of traffic! God bless him. :) He is consistently finding new ways to make our relationship more perfect. While we are perfectly content and in love he realizes we still need to work to keep things fresh and interesting. Nothing is boring. He adores me and shows it in his actions, words and love notes. I have never felt more special. He's perfect =].

To buy a house and begin our marriage together. We would love to travel the world and once we are ready we can settle down and start a family =]. But as long as we are together, that is the perfect life =].

Friday morning we heard that we've made top 5! Andrea and I have been working hard to spread the word and get everyone's votes and we want to thank everyone for their love and support. One year for Valentine's he even made the envelope special! He sent the card a couple weeks early to Loveland, Colorado to get a special Valentine's stamp, it was really sweet.
Hey everyone. You have no idea what I was going through this weekend in anticipation for these next two weeks! :) First of all, Tony and I and our families could not stop talking about it. The colors, the flowers, our wedding party... we've got wedding on the brains! :) Oh my goodness. I was visiting Tony yesterday, and at one point I even came downstairs to find him and his sister writing out their guest list - trying to make everyone fit. I then started on my side's list, and was so nervous about forgeting someone, that I almost forgot my aunt and uncle. It came out to 101 guests in the end, though. Can you believe it? (I know it's not just a coincidence.) Despite the anxiety, however, we still had alot of fun. :)
Before this contest began, Tony and I weren't even thinking about planning a wedding because we thought we were going to get married in no less than a couple of years. We are both trying to save up for a house, and I am tring to get my bills and student loans out of the way. We both figured we would focus on saving, and just try as hard as we could to not think about wedding details, to avoid getting discouraged. This contest has completely gotten our hopes up. (In a good way!) We've never had more fun. :)
I love how involved all of our friends and family are. They are constantly asking us questions about when they need to vote, how they can help, where to sign up, etc. Tony and I appreciate it so much, and we can't tell you how encouraged and loved we feel. We have some exciting "publicity stunts" planned and are involving as many people as we can. Just keep your eyes out for us if you live in OC or LA. I am sort of nervous about starting back at Cal State Fullerton on the 18th with stuff all over my car, though. (haha) All of our friends from CSUF, Mater Dei & Servite (Tony went to both - but I'm not telling you who he rooted for in football), Troy High, and Eastside Christian, don't forget to vote!! We need everyone.
