Your PERFECT Date
We've already had a few of these! One time Tony wanted to surprise me and didn't tell me where we were going. He took me to dinner at the Rusty Pelican in Newport. Then afterwards he took me to a beautiful secluded beach and I was blind folded so I had no idea where we were. Once he finally let me see, he had setup a bonfire along with champagne right on the shore. He also had love songs playing from a CD that he had made me for that night. The beach is one of our favorite places, it was perfect!!
Your PERFECT Engagement
Ours!! Tony took me to the Griffith Observatory on Christmas Eve. I knew something was up, but he kept me guessing about whether he'd actually take the plunge :) till the actual moment when he got down on one knee. By then, we had been there for a while, my feet hurt, and he was giving me piggy back rides around the observatory. But at sundown, when the city lights came on and we were overlooking the beautiful view from above, he nervously asked me to be his wife. I couldn't take the smile off of my face for the entire tram ride down to our car. Our friends & family were already calling to congratulate us by the time we left! We met up with Tony's family later for Christmas Eve and all 50 people there were standing at the door waiting to congratulate us! It was perfect!!
She's PERFECT because
She is a part of me, the best part of me. She's my best friend as well as the love of my life. We think the same and many times find ourselves completing each other's sentences or saying the same things at the same times. I can't imagine life without her anymore. She brings a smile to my face even on a bad day. She has just made my life so much more beautiful. We love each other's company and even after five years it's like we're still a new couple. I know she's perfect for me because marriage in and of itself honestly scared me before, but when I think of marriage with her I become excited and feel at peace. She's perfect =].
He's PERFECT because
Tony is a wonderful Christian man. He lets me be myself and makes me want to be better at the same time. He enables me to discover things about myself that I probably never would have realized without him. He has a calming presence and a soothing voice - this is especially important after dealing with an hour and a half of traffic! God bless him. :) He is consistently finding new ways to make our relationship more perfect. While we are perfectly content and in love he realizes we still need to work to keep things fresh and interesting. Nothing is boring. He adores me and shows it in his actions, words and love notes. I have never felt more special. He's perfect =].
Your dream for the PERFECT life together
To buy a house and begin our marriage together. We would love to travel the world and once we are ready we can settle down and start a family =]. But as long as we are together, that is the perfect life =].
Our perfect wedding colors will be
It depends on whether we get married in early January. :) We both love deep purple, though.
The perfect wedding flowers will be
The perfect wedding music will be
Our love songs, some of them should be playing on the site right now =]
Our first dance will be to
Amazed... unless we find something we like better. :)
The guest most likely to cry:
Our moms. We love you mom =]
The guest most likely to embarrass themselves
Andy, one of Tony's best friends.
The guest most likely to give the PERFECT toast
Emily Crow, Andrea's friend and Maid of Honor.
Just for the record, I wasn't even thinking about kids till I saw Tony with his nephews... He is really great with them... patient, understanding, fun...
Whenever they come over, all I hear is TONY!!! =) (He's the coolest uncle in their entire school, they say.)
I can't wait to start a family with him. =)
(So THIS is probably the last blog... please don't forget to vote for us!! We can't have our dream wedding without your help. Thanks again!!)
Recently, I was asked, "How do you know that Andrea is the one true love for you?" I don't think I've ever been asked that question or even really thought of it before. As I've said before, the thought of marriage really scared me a few years ago. It is such a huge step and I never would have thought that I'd be engaged today, ready to marry the love of my life. When Andrea and I first started dating about five years ago, I was never even thinking about marriage or anything serious. I simply met a beautiful, smart, funny, loving person and never thought about where it might lead. She was just so wonderful, and as time passed my love for her grew beyond what I ever even thought possible. She was a part of my life now, she was a part of me, the best part of me. She brought out everything good in me and made my life so beautiful. My anxiety about marriage disappeared at the beautiful sight of her. She is my best friend and my true love, my perfect match.
The love we shared was the love of a lifetime. I would be a fool to let that opportunity pass me up just because I was scared about commitment. As I became more comfortable and even excited about the thought of marriage (with Andrea), I began thinking about the next step, kids (oh man...) =P Kids are a lot of work, I can barely handle my nephews for a day!! But, I started thinking about Andrea again, and how much she puts into our relationship and how much she sacrifices for me. I know that she would do the same for our children. She would be an amazing mother, she would give it her all. We will be a great team and I can't wait.
As far as I know, this is the last blog we will be allowed to post. I wanted to take the time to thank everyone again for checking out our site, for your support and nice comments. We appreciate everything. Thank you to KIIS FM and listeners for making this all possible for us. If we make it to the finals we will need your votes =]. Thanks again.
I was just thinking about some small stuff in our relationship that allows Andrea and I to mesh as well as we do. We just compliment each other so well and it adds to why we're perfect for each other:
- We both love food and enjoy trying different food/restaurants. - We both love to watch movies. - We love to explore and travel. - A lot of times we both like to stay home and relax for the day. - Andrea always has left overs when we eat and I always finish her left overs for her so it works out perfect. - Andrea falls asleep early and I stay up later which allows me to play video games for a bit before I sleep without worrying about neglecting her =P. - Andrea enjoys driving and I don't so that works out. And if she's tired I'll drive and she snuggles up on my arm and sleeps. - I love cookies, and Andrea loves baking and she makes amazing cookies. - I am always warm, and Andrea is always cold, so I can keep her warm and she can always wear my jacket without me being cold. - Even when we have nothing to do, we have a blast just hanging out and goofing around. - We both have a lot of the same tastes when it comes to food and fashion. - We love beautiful views, sites, scenery, and we love enjoying them together. - We both love nature and wildlife. - We don't watch TV much but when we do we love the same shows, like The Simpsons =P. - Andrea is terrified of bugs, and I'm good at killing them. - I am a very calm and mellow person, and Andrea is hyper and anxious, together we find a nice medium. - And we both love making each other smile, so we're almost always smiling together =P
These are just some of the many reasons why we work so well together. I think it's pretty obvious that we were meant for each other =P. Small stuff like this makes me excited about getting married to Andrea because I just know we will work out so well together as we have for the past five years, and this is only the beginning.
Time travel back to the ‘50s with an evening at
a drive-in movie theater, a bowling alley, or a roller-skating rink. Then go grab a bite to eat at an old fashioned burger joint like Ruby's. Andrea and I personally love the drive-in movie theater. It's a really cool experience watching a movie like that and seeing what it was like for our parents/grandparents back in the day. Try it out if you haven't already!
Yesterday we went to our friend James' wedding. We had a blast! We made a video at the wedding for our blog but unfortunately I couldn't upload the file for some reason. Anyways, we just wanted to say in our video that being at our friend's wedding really got us excited for our own. We could see how happy they were to finally be husband and wife and we can only imagine what that will be like once we are there. We just can't wait until we are in their shoes, which is hopefully in January with your help =P. In our video we also just wanted to thank everyone for their support and nice comments and KIIS FM for this opportunity. This has been a great experience so far and has put some perspective on our own relationship which has allowed us to see what we really have. I cherish Andrea and what we have even more (didn't think it was possible) after doing this contest and I thank everyone for that. I hope that we can be an encouragement for new couples out there. Relationships are a lot of work, but if both people are putting their heart and soul into it, you can develop something beautiful and eternal. Thanks again!
P.S. Here's a little bonus video I uploaded since the other one didn't work! Enjoy =P
